In the past, there was a limit on the number of places the Victorian Government subsidised in diploma and advanced diploma courses. Once these places were taken, the only way you could do the course you wanted, where you wanted—was to pay the full fee yourself.
Unlimited subsidised places
Now, since 1st July 2009, the Government is removing the limit on how many diploma and advanced diploma places it will subsidise. So now, Chisholm can offer anybody who is eligible* a place in any of our diploma and advanced diploma courses—with a Government subsidy!** It’s called the Victorian Training Guarantee.

* To be eligible for a Training Guaranteed place in a diploma or advanced diploma, you first need to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident—or hold a Special Category Visa (for New Zealand citizens). Second, you either need to be under 20 on January 1st in the year you will be undertaking the course—or, if you’re over 20, the diploma or advanced diploma must be higher than the highest qualification you hold already.
**New Victorian Government subsidies to pay for most of your costs. You still have to contribute a certain amount as a tuition fee. (For diplomas and advanced diplomas begun from July 1 2009, the maximum capped tuition fee for the six months between July and December 2009 will be no more than $750.) There is Commonwealth Government funding to help you meet your contribution to course fees - VET Fee Help.

Diploma of Events
A full time course offered at either the Chisholm Frankston or Dandenong. Because of the industry, classes may run any time between 8am and 10.30pm.
Course Specialties: As a student you are exposed constantly to structured industry training and specialist teaching staff. Opportunities are available to work at major Melbourne festivals and events and even to apply for international scholarships in September each year.
